Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
this place is horrible! we moved here in December of 2007 and it was a huge mistake! I was actually deployed when my husband signed the lease papers, had I seen the place for myself I would have never stepped foot on this property ever again! We pay well over 1,000 a month for a 2 bed/ 2 bath on the first floor with a sunroom...I would like to know where my money is going, the place hasn't been updated in God knows how long...the kitchens are disgusting and it just looks like a horror seen from the 80's. During August, right after I had my baby the A/C broke and I called the office and they said they would send someone up right away. Well, 3 hours later no one had come, so I'm in my apartment with no A/C it's almost 100 degrees outside and I have a 4 day old baby, ya I was a lil pissed so I walked down there and told them if they didn't get someone now I'm calling the property manager, of course they had someone there in about 3 minutes. But don't ya know about 5 days later it broke again, i called and they sent someone and he couldn't figure out what was wring with it, so once again i had no A/C for 2 days, me and the baby ended up getting a hotel room and staying there. After that it broke about 3 or 4 more times. Common sense would say call someone who actually knows what they're doing and get an A/C guy in here to look at it, but God forbid they spend extra money to take care of their tenants. It took almost 2 months for them to figure out the compressor needed to be replaced. We rent a washer and dryer and the dryer hasn't worked properly since the day we moved in, it takes about 2-3 hours to completely dry anything, and yes I've called about it and they still haven't done anything a year later. The toilets don't flush properly and they've been out here more times than I can count and they still don't work properly. The trash just piles up and spills over the sides of the dumpster and it smells like death in the summer heat. I don't know how often they clean the pool, but every time I went which was almost everyday, it was disgusting and I never went all the way in. Pictures on their website are very very deceiving, they only show you pictures of the model and of course the model is going to be picture perfect and what you would expect, but that's just their way of luring you in. My bedroom, the master bedroom, is right up against the stairway, so whenever someone is going up or down it sounds like they're going to come right through the wall, the first night i stayed in the apartment I thought there was a tornado coming through the complex. It's not worth it. The parking is ridiculous, I have to park at another building and walk all the way to my apartment dragging my now 5 month old along. I had a problem with bugs getting in through the windows because the seal on the windows was deteriorating, so I mentioned it to the front office and they said they would have maintenance come and fix it...well apparently fixing it means sealing the windows shut with chalking. So now the windows in my 5 month old's room are sealed shut, let's hope we don't have an emergency and have to crawl out her windows. We've had nothing but problems here and I've even written a letter to the property manager and that didn't do anything. Before you sign anything tell them you want to see the apartment that they would be giving you and go through it with a fine tooth comb, check everything and if you find anything wrong tell them you want it fixed before you sign anything and get it in writing! We still have moldy baseboards from 2 years ago, amazing! If you're active duty military, tell them you want to see the military clause and to explain every detail and ask them for the Georgia Tenant/Landlord laws, I'm transferring the first week of August and they told me I can break my lease but I still have to pay a full months rent if I'm staying past the first, and I'm not paying for a hotel that's right up the road for 3 days. I contacted the state governor, so we'll see how that goes. There are brand new apartments that are so much nicer on the inside with balconies or sunrooms, huge bathrooms and every apartment has a garden tub. Century Glen has a heated pool and a very very nice club house that you can hold parties and events in. My friends are renting out an apartment there and they absolutely love it, it's away from traffic unlike Walden Glen that empties out onto the 2nd busiest road in Evans. I would highly recommend you look at Century Glen before moving here. k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
