Bottom line up front: not horrible, but not worth the money.
My husband and I rented from Walden Glen for 5 months while he was at a military school. They were willing to work with us and give us a 5 month lease rather than a 6 month lease and in that respect they were helpful. But I feel that for what we got and what we paid, there was a large discrepancy. We were paying around $700 /month after all the utilities, trash pick up, etc. were added on to the pricing and what we got was a TINY cramped apartment, an itsy-bitsy gym that had like 3 ancient pieces of equipment, a dog park that NO ONE cleaned up after their dogs had defecated (although when it got bad enough, the office would send a technician to go clean it up), not very good parking and a completely forgettable playground on the outskirts of the complex.
I will say that the office staff were always nice and polite to me and overall we had a positive experience, but in hindsight, we would definitely look for a better bargain for our money if we had to move back their again.
I also want to mention that while I was waiting for them to finish painting our apartment, they let us stay in a guest apartment and the second day I was there all by myself two floors down, in broad daylight, the apartment on the bottom floor got its door kicked in (they are solid metal so I don't know how that works...) and was robbed. I went out to take a walk and there were cops everywhere. They told me it should be relatively safe, but just to make sure to lock up and keep an eye out for "suspicious people." The apartment complex is situated just off a busy road (Belair) and has woods cradling it, so if someone were thinking about robbing it, they would have a great cover in the woods and get away with the busy street. I wouldn't recommend the bottom floor ESPECIALLY if you are are a female!
Again, not the worst by any stretch, but not the best either!
