$171 Good faith fee is unreasonable

$171 was paid upfront for an invalid reason . Most apartments will ask for an application to get started but this apartment will ask for a $171 upfront and won't give it back once you are approved but did not decide to move in anyway. This is ridiculous! Why would you pay this fee (they call is admin fee,too!) when you are not guaranteed yet whether you are getting a unit yet or not (they run a credit check). The application fee is justifiable but thie good faith is fee is definitely NOT JUSTIFIABLE!

I lived in weatherly walk for 3 years. If I recall, the fee is a "refurbishing fee" as opposed to a deposit. I knew upfront that I was never going to see that money again.
