I enjoyed living at Carrington but I was very disappointed once I moved out. There is a disclaimer in my lease that states you must give written notice 60days prior to moving out EVEN IF YOU MOVE OUT ON THE DAY YOUR LEASE EXPIRES. As a young college student I had only had 2 apartment homes before this and such disclaimer did not exist. Even though the staff said that they tried to notify me 60 days prior to my lease... I swear that is untrue. When they misplaced a DVD I rented they called me profusely until finally they found it amongst their own things, but they never called and mentioned that I need to provide a notice stating that I would be moving out as I always planned. So now even though I moved out on time and left my apartment spotless I was sent a bill for $739.00 because they're charging me an extra month's rent because I did not provide written notice saying that I'm going to move out on the day I originally told them I would move out'!' I feel that this is a scheme and a con especially given the circumstances of the economy. I would recommend you go 2 minutes down the street to The Lake Lanier Apartment Homes, I wish I would've and I wouldn't be paying for an apartment where I no longer reside.

Ok, I agree that the 60 day is a bit much. But I've lived here for over 5 years now, and EVERY year they have posted a letter on my door three (3) months (90 days) in advance that my lease will be expiring and if I wish to renew what increase (if any) would be. Bottom line, yes you are right that there is the 'fine print' but you were given a copy of your lease. You had ample time to 'read the fine print'. You are responsible for yourself, no one should HAVE to tell you what you agreed to.
