HELL ON EARTH IN GAINESVILLE, GA

The customer-no-service here is absolutely appalling. You would think that the office staff would WANT to provide good customer service since they get paid commission for renewals as well as new leases but apparently that is not enough incentive for them. We have had problems since BEFORE we even moved in here and should have known better. The office tried to switch our move-in date 2 days before our move-in, then tried to switch our apartment to one on a different floor, and then tried to change our lease length. All of this was after we had already paid our deposits and signed our paperwork! There are literally, no joke, at least 8 stray cats loitering in the parking lot, and it constantly smells like a giant litter box outside not to mention the fact that they are probably carrying diseases. The property manager lied about being able to get rid of the cats by telling me that animal control would not come and pick them up, but afterwards I called animal control myself and learned that they would pick them up if the property would pay for cages to trap them in. She lied because she did not want to pay the money for either cages or a private trapping service. The grounds are nice, but lazy people never pick up their dog's poop. The complex does not even attempt to enforce the $25 fine they try to impose for not picking up your pet's waste. The cable company, which has a monopoly on the complex and is the only option if you can't get a satellite signal, is horrible as well. Half of the channels do not even come in on most days. The water/sewer prices are supposedly based on local utility rates, but the bill always seems exhorbinant. It costs almost 3 times as much for the sewer charge than for water. They charge you an administrative fee for processing the bill through the leasing office (they make you include it with your rent every month) when I would gladly forgo the charge to write them a separate check. They also charge for trash and "pest control" on the water bill. The office claims that the pest control is for the outside of the building, but I would have thought that maintenance of the grounds/buildings would be included in our rent. Our gate keys did not work, and I had to make 4 separate trips to the office to even get working replacement card keys after I had been told twice that they were fully functional. There are so many other complaints, but I do not have enough time to list them all. All in all, I would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy.
