Lake lanier club claims they are luxury apartments and they are not in the least. They are lake-view apartments that are poorly constructed and are cold in the winter due to drafty windows and doors with thin insulation in the walls. There is hardly any parking available close to your apartment building with two spaces per unit and your lucky to find one. They let dogs crap all over the complex because they can't catch violators and rarely fine anyone($75) for these violations(pickup after the dog) and at night, you walk in the dog crap because of poor lighting. Unless you push the management, any repairs needed to your apartment needs a work order that can take 1-2 weeks to get fixed. Sometimes they don't even show up when you request certain things done to the apartment.The college students basicly own the 2 pools in the summer so there is no need to use them because there is no place to sit when you get out of the water. There are stray cats all over the complex with no effort to eliminate them and YOU have to call animal control to have them removed because management claims that is not their problem. The complex is managed by twenty-something young women who really haven't a clue as to what they are doing and how to properly run a large apartment complex. They are only interested in having the rent and water paid on time and have almost no interest in the needs of their tenents once they get you to sign that lease. The floors,roofs and walls in the apartments are so thin that unless you live on the top floor, the noise is very distracting especially with extremely noisy neighbors. Not much effort by management and the courtesy officers to recify that problem no matter how many times you call. There are alot of apartments to rent in gainesville,but this is NOT one of them. The only really good thing is the view overlooking the lake which is spectacular. Otherwise, not much to brag about. Very overpriced for what you actually get for your money.
