I'll tell you what....I come from a city in Dallas called Plano. Plano is an upscale, nice city with everything....I do mean everything at your fingertips. The corporate park where EDS, Frito Lay, JC Penney, Etc., Etc., is headquartered there. Thus making jobs easy to find. The rent for an apt in Plano is less expensive than this place. I rent a washer and dryer. The washer doesn't have a very good spin cycle so it takes me 3 hours to dry 3 pair of jeans. I was told by management that was normal. My refrigerator freezes everything that is too far back in it. I think I have gotten food poisoning 3 times due to the refrigerator not keeping my food cold enough due to being too close to the front. Which I was told was normal for a regrigerator by maintenance. When I first moved in, my air conditioner didn't work and finally after 4 times of coming out, they decided to replace it. Which means that I was miserable for 2 months until they decided to actually do something. The gate to this community never works properly. They are either rude or clueless depending on who you get when it comes to the new management. Parking is pretty rediculous. The paperthin walls make your electricity bill outrageous. My girlfriend lives in a 3 bedroom house and her electricity bill in the heat of the Texas summer is lower than mine. The internet situation here is TERRIBLE. I try to work out of my apartment as I have a stay at home job and I have to use the internet to do so. I was told by the cable/internet mechanics that the apt complex needs to upgrade their wiring in order to get a better connection. Most of the time, you can find me at Panera Bread using their wireless set up instead of at my own apartment. I pay my rent on time. I happened to be out of town until Jan 4th - so I took the payment in on the 5th - they said that even though I have so many problems with this apartment that aren't my fault, I would still owe $60 for being late with my rent. DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT HERE!!!!!!! My apartment number is 221 just so you know!

I completely agree with you and you were exactly right when you said the new management(or should I say new assistant manager) is rude and frankly a jerk. I am so ready for my lease to be up, because I have friends that live at Lanier Club and it is a lot better for a cheaper price!

Cheaper is not always better. But for some... maybe so.
