it sucks really bad we got kicked out and had 3 day to get out we was almost living on the streets i was in tears i have a 7 mouth old baby and they didnt care. i asked them for at least one extra day. they would not work with us at all. and the reason why we got kicked out is becuase i was letting out grandma stay with us for a week. and they said no one is suppsed to be living there

The law in Georgia clearly states that landlords have to give you 30 days to find a place to live. If you payed a deposit or first months rent to move in, then by law they cannot kick you out in 3 days. Also if you live in apartments that are not government apartments you are allowed to have visitors stay with you for a week. If your grandmother only stayed for a week then she did not necessarily live with you she was just visiting for a while and that is not illegal. It is also not against any lease. You as a tenant paying rent have a right to have visitors. To the people trying to kick out this person in 3 days, you are breaking the law. you also cannot throw someone out just for having a visitor stay with them for a week, this is allowed even in rent controlled apartments.
