I loooooooooove this location. I came from Lake Lanier Club in Gainesville, which was a TOTAL nightmare. They overcharged, thought too highly of their outdated community, and treated tenants like just a number. Columns at Chicopee was the last place I looked. Because of the location, I had always assumed it was government housing, but my agent at ProMove.com referred me here. I decided to give it a shot. The prices are VERY cheap - between $150-$200 cheaper for a 1 bedroom than all of the other nice complexes in Gainesville. AND, it's much larger. My 1 bedroom is 900 square feet!! I also thought the noise would be terrible, but only one of the buildings has 1BR apartments, so I live in a building with other single people or young married folks with no kids. So I never hear noise. It's everything that I wanted in an apartment - beautiful interior, huge kitchen, updated furnishings, young (only 4 years old), cheap, excellent management, safe, and quiet. I agree that sometimes the trash compactor is overflowing, but big deal!! Otherwise, it's a beautiful place and their location on Atlanta Hwy does not do them justice. ***Everyone should know, I moved here in July and before I made the decision to do so, I called the Gainesville City police station and had them pull a report on ALL dispatch activity for the community since it was first built. The woman told me it has much less activity than all of the other complexes in Gainesville EVEN THOUGH it's not gated. She said there were only a couple of domestic disturbances reported, some false fire alarms, and that's it. A Gainesville City police officer lives on site, too. I knew then that the location was deceiving, and I signed the lease and have been incredibly happy with my decision. It's perfect! I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I live here too and yes it is quite nice, management is helpful but you will not get away with it if you are a trouble maker of any sorts. The interiors are nice, very well set up. Great neighbors, beautiful colors inside and lovely views as well as centrally located. No complaints here either and very happy. I have been here for a couple of years and love the columns at chicopee and its' great staff!
