Ok so it's a bright beautiful day when you go to sign your lease. The office staff is nice, the exteriors of the building look decent enough, the interior of your soon-to-be new apartment looks great compared to what you've seen at similar price ranges. You sign the lease, move in, and all is well. Then the sun goes down....at night groups of men hang around in stairways, teenage boys wander aimlessly around in groups cussing, spitting, hanging around way to close to my car for comfort. Not to mention that both the men and the teens have this really annoying and nerve wracking habit of staring at you. Try being a single female walking through or past a group of staring men at 11 o'clock at night after you get off work. This didn't bother me so bad until one night I walked upstairs past a group of them and about five minutes later someone started messing with my door. That's happened twice now. Trying to break in' I don't know. Simple mistake, got the wrong door' Possibly. Really creepy' Yes. That's the night life at the vineyards for ya. Anyhow, so you go to sleep, wake up, and as your going to work you find a used condom outside. What...the...hell'! Had to scratch that itch so bad you couldn't wait to get inside'' My count on used condom findings is now up to three. One was enough for me, that's just disgusting. So with all this comes a word of warning. Don't just look at it during the day while everyone is at work or hung over. Come back by at night before you sign the lease, just wait for someone to go through the gate and follow them in, do a quick tour of the place. The only other issue I have is I wish they would pressure wash the stairways more often, between spit, spills, occasional sidewalk chalk graifiti, and whatever else is on them, they could use it. Some people may be fine with sort of enviroment but I'm not. To me the place really is comparable to Jekyll and Hyde from day to night. Not even night nessesarily, afternoon even. On a lighter note, maintnence really seems on top of their game as far as keeping things up and running, and the office staff is very nice for the most part. I just wish that made up for all the problems. So go ahead and say I'm lying if you like, but to those who are considering living there please just take all the complaints you see on this forum into consideration, because I read a couple before I moved in and now I'm regretting not paying more attention.
