I relocated from NYC to GA just two months ago (Jan) I viewed several apartments and fell in love with this one, the staff was very nice and the lay out was perfect. When I came Jan ,6th to inquire about the availablility of the apartments I was told that They would have a 3 bedroom ready for me MArch 1st, which was perfect, I was taken on a tour of the complex just to get an idea, and I was shown the 2 bdroom.. it was so pretty, I asked how much were the two bedrooms and I was told $675 and the 3 bedrooms are $850, after the tour the same woman who gave me the tour gave me a pamplet and wrote out the information in which she told me in the apts. ( the prices) I lef feeling good.. about 2 weeks later Jan. 18th I came back to see if they would still have the 3 bedrooms available, this time I was speaking to a different rep, she told me NO. I explained to her that I spoke with a specific lady who told me that there would be availability, long story short there wasnt' she then told me that the 3 bedroom are $975..WHAT? how? and that the 2 bedrooms are $675.. she checked my credit and income and told me I did not make the cut for the 3 bedroom but that she would fix it so that I could get it, ok no problem, the next day, after thinking about it, I decided it would make more sense to get the cheaper apartment. so I called them and asked if they had a 2 bedroom and they said YES, can you move in today? ummm who does that? no I can't move in today..so I asked her to give me 2 days and to tell me what was my total move in cost. I got all the money orders and came back on Jan,22 to sign the lease etc. I was going out of town that day so I was in a rush, they asked me to do a walk through of the apartment really quick...so I did, me and the same sales lady from the first visit, ( this is where the problem begins) we go into the apartment and the carpet is SOAKING wet, doesn't look shampooed at all, it just looks wet, I saw so many stains in the carpet and the apartment looked nothing like the model they showed me, everything was different, the floors were scuffed up badly, and the carpet was just nasty, I told them I will not accept this apartment in this condition, I wanted new carpet, the woman told me sure we can do that for $15 dollars, so at first I wondered why am I being charged for someone else's filth? but hey its only 15 dollars...I also requested for the tiles to be done over and she said sure, we go back to the office and I told them I would not sign a walk through approval paper until everything was redone, that apartment was not tenant ready, they charged me $171 to do the tiles over, then I find out it was not $15 for the carpet it was $15 per month added to my rent..WOW, how is that fair? I don't get it...ok so 2 months into me living here I decided I am going to go back to NYC employment wise GA is not for me, so I notify the office and they tell I have to pay 2 months rent at full price of $825 plus what ever discount they gave me...WHAT? so I find out that the 2 bedroom is really 825 not 675, so its a 150 discount, so they want me to pay the 150 extra for every month that I stay here smh...read people the fine print before signing...I like my apartment..but the female staff gets you by being so nice, they rob you!!1
