Poor management, but very good apartments

The apartments are basicly new and are a very nice place to live and stay. The walls are some other color than white which is really nice and there's trim and everything is in excelent condition. The insulation is also very good so utility bills arn't too terible like at other places. Over all the complex itself is very nice and well kept I am highly pleased with the way everything looks
My downside to all this is the management. They have no rent drop box and the office is only open from 9-5 and not on Sunday. So if you have any type of normal day job you can only pay your rent on a Saturday...if you miss it, then enjoy that late fee. Also when you go in there are two desk setup on either side of the door only no one is ever there...you have to go around into their office area and find someone, if you just take a seat in the waiting area they will never know you are there.
What gets me even more is I have over 2 months till my lease is up. I recieved a notice saying that it was time to renew...which I was pleased to get so I can decided what I want to do. What I didn't like is that they went up on rent some $42 a month, but then if you came by and signed the renewal in 10 days they would give you a discount so your rent would only go up $7 a month...if you did nothing then you would pay month to month at a even higher rate...10 days is no where near enough to go about doing research on deciding if I want to stay or move, so they pressure you into deciding quickly. What would be fair is at least a month. Of course if I decide to move I have to give a 60 day notice, so what I think would be at the minimum of fair is give me until 60 days from the expire of the lease to make up my mind at the lower rate...then if I can't decide by 60 days then the much higher rate...but even then that doesn't seam real fair...
Anyway, that got me going when I recieved the notice, but what really set me off again and made me write all this is I just went up to the office to pay my rent...it was really close to 5 so I went ahead and went in to tell them to wait I would run to my apartment and write a check and then take it up there to them to pay my rent...they said ok that they were actually going to be open till 5:30...I went home, turned right around and went back...the door was locked and no one was home...It was only 5:15.
Over all I am going to stay here because I love the location as it's right next to the silver comet trail and town. I love the beauty of the apartment and how new it is and all...the rent is high I think, but over all I don't think I am willing to pack up and move over this, it's too nice here. Everyone you meet is nice and we get along and talk. It's quiet and pleasant. It's a very nice place here most of the time.
