I stopped by this community in October to look at apartments in anticipation of having to move in January. I liked what I saw and they had a great special going on so I applied, gave them a deposit and that's where the trouble started. Let me first say that the office staff is a very pleasant group to deal with but in my experience they've also been very unorganized. When I took the application back and told them which floor plan I needed I was told that there were still more pieces of paper to be filled out. I had to go in circles to get the information they needed because they wouldn't do it themselves (pay stubs weren't enough to prove my income and they wanted me to have my old complex fill out the necessary forms instead of them sending the forms themselves). Returned a call to the complex only to be told the person I needed wasn't in and that nobody else could help me. Called back and the person I needed still wasn't in. She finally called me back but not at the number I left - she called my home number despite the fact that I was at work all day. Since they needed more information from me I thought they would have called back the number I left. Anyway I finally learned I was approved when I called them again. Was told they couldn't tell me what apt I would be assigned since it was so far in advance which was reasonable. A month before moving I went into the office to get my unit # only to be told they STILL couldn't tell me the unit # because it might change again before I moved in. Was told to wait a week before the move in date to get the unit # and tranfer utilities. I wasn't thrilled about this but I waited anyway. A week before I was due to move I went to the apartment to get measurements before moving day. They didn't want to allow me into the apartment but eventually did. I found that it was not the floor plan I requested and was indeed smaller than the models they'd shown me. I was also told that the information I'd been given during the intial viewing of the models was only partially accurate in that the price was the same no matter which floor plan I choose (not what I was told) and that they did have roommate style floor plans (which I was told initially they DIDN'T have). When I told them that I couldn't accept the apartment assigned to me because it was too small to hold my belongings I was told that those floor plans were the only ones they had and that they didn't know I'd requested a specific floor plan (although I expressed my requirements 3 months earlier). The good news is that I found out before moving in about the smaller unacceptable unit. The bad news is that I didn't find out until 1 week before my move was scheduled and now I find myself having to look elsewhere for somewhere to live. The entire experience from applying to trying to reach people to being able to view the unit was full of pitfalls every step of the way. The apartments are still very nice but beware when dealing with the leasing office. Document EVERYTHING and make sure you see what they're assigning you at least a month before your move date. I wouldn't want anyone else to have the same chaotic experience I had.

May 2007 Update - Took me 3 months to get my security deposit returned despite the fact I NEVER moved into this place. Office was an absolute nightmare to deal with. I finally got my money after going over their heads to the management company's representative. If you have the patience to deal with the games then give this place a shot otherwise stay away! I'm glad I never moved here if my application process and subsequent efforts to get my deposit back are any indication of how they do business.
