I have been a tenant for 2 years. Late last year (2005) my water heater caught on fire. It was at this time that I found out the smoke detectors were not working properly even though we were testing them monthly. Maintenance did not show up for approx. 2hrs. even after the Clayton County Fire Dept. Dispatcher tried to contact him. Instead of replacing the entire water heater at that time, they merely replaced the wiring. The seal on the water heater was broken which caused a leak into the wiring system again. Needless to say the water heater caught on fire again. This time they replaced it. My bedroom also flooded due to poor foundation construction (I live on the ground floor). The corporate company (JMG) has no regard for their tenants and management does very little to make their tenants feel safe or heard. Unfortunately I have to extend my lease. Move in with caution...
