First the pros: The rent is cheap and the floorplans are great. Parking is convenient and abundant, too. The office staff is really friendly and generally helpful; they have the best intentions, but aren't always as effective as they could be, but more on that below.

The cons: Maintenance is slower than molasses (if they even bother to get around to coming at all). I stopped in the office to make a maintenance request, and after a week, nobody had come out to my unit. So I figured "Maybe they were busy in the office that day and my request got lost in the shuffle" so I went back to the office again. Nobody ever came, and I ended up making the repair myself.

It is a 400 unit complex, and I would estimate that there is probably an average of 3 people in each unit. (I only estimate that low because I imagine there are a few more singles like myself who bring the average down. But in lots of the one-bedroom units, it seems that there are 2, 3, or even 4 people living in there.) There are a lot of families here, with loads of children, and that seems to account for most of the noise. You do get the frequent "super-woofer" stereo system blasting through the parking lot, or even your bedroom wall, though.

The complex itself is pretty safe, I think. I've never really felt like I was in any danger walking at night w/ my dog. I have witnessed one or two police chases through the back streets of the complex, though. The general neighborhood is not the greatest/safest.

Summary: Rent with caution. I'm staying here for a second year to save money. If you want an adequate living space w/ just the bare necessities and don't mind waking up in the night every once in a while to a police car parked in front of your building, this might work for you.
