I have lived at Tara for 1 and a half years. During that time I have seen some disturbing occurrences on the property by non-residents. Tara is the largest community in Joneboro with 3 phases. I have not encountered any person problems and Ilike my apartment. The office staff has been pleasant to deal with but sometimes the residents are not so pleasant. Jonesboro is changing - more crime and more gangs, but the property is patrolled by police and breezeways and parking areas are very well lit.

It is also sad that the complex had to hire you to write something positive about it. They offered me 300 for rent just to keep me there, but I moved. I would rather be safe than save money. Like the poster said Tara is the largest community in Jonesboro and Jonesboro is changing. So where do you think all those crazies live? Resident or not the place is not safe. The office has a high turn over rate so the poster maybe dealing with some one newer than I know. Yet earlier this year they were rude. I will say this if the whole complex could be moved to a different county than 83% of the problems would change for the positive.

Yes, we can all agree that the profile at Tara needs to be improved. No, I have not been paid by the property to say something positive. I just see clearly what's going on. I can only imagine what the day in the life of a staff person must be like at Tara. Jonesboro is overun with homeless people, there is a lot of foot traffic and people who just stay at home all day. There is also gang violence, prostitution, drug traffic and other criminal activity going on up and down Tara Blvd. The County has lost accreditation it's for public schools and the police force is just not large enough to combat the problems. (Good schools do make good communities). Now can you imagine working inthat environment where the residents are always unhappy, always complaining, always threatening and never satisfied. Too many of us just don't want to get involved. Maybe a community watch program is what is required. each of the residents has to take a greater interest in combatting the drugs, crime, prostitution and loitering from non-residents. Attack the problems, not each other and not the staff.

You must be on crack, or single with no kids, or only use the apt for sleeping in between jobs. I can go there right now and give you a report. I saw a young boy running around afraid that he was going to get jumped by the small gangs that run in their now. People's apt's are being broken into. The police may patrol, but they don't live there like they used to, and patrol for reduced rent. I am watching a boy walk through with a pit-bull; which is against the rules, but nobody says anything to him. No one has yet to fix the carwash machines. Everybody pays a base price for the utilities no matter how much you use. Just try calling maintenance at night and see how long it takes them to respond. Yo', Dude, you be smokin' somethin' or you be blind.

Unclefloyd,
everyone doesn't have the same experiences. It's unfortunate that you have had negative experiences. It's also unfortunate that only those with negative experiences want to share their comments. There are many who have had positive comments to make and I represent those patrons. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. If you truly hate Tara Courts to the extent that you claim.... why not simply relocate. I can guarantee that you'll have issues with your new place of residence too (since complaining seems to be your specialty). There's always plenty of blame to go around. Enjoy your day.
