Perhaps due to an influx of college age students (Kennesaw St. University is just down the road), the management at AMLI can sometimes treat its residents more like dorm dwellers than established, responsible renters. For instance, they recently sent out a letter to my apartment complex stating: "It has come to our attention that cigarette butts are being discarded around the building as well as in the parking lot. Please be advised that this creates a serious fire hazard and is unsightly to the community. In addition, we will be fining $20 per cigarette butt for subsequent violations. This charge will be added to your account."

Hence, much like an elementary school teacher who punishes a whole classroom for one child's errant behavior, the management is actually threatening to charge all those in our apartment unit for "someone's" cigarette butts. Very unprofessional. It's not as if those who don't smoke (such as myself) have any recourse in trying to put an end to the "secret cigarette butt dispenser." So very childlike.

Those moving in to AMLI should be very aware of the unprofessional management approach. Be prepared to be treated as if you're living in a college dorm.

you are an idiot. Most American adults can't wipe their own rear. I think it is totaly appropriate for the complex to bring to everyone's attention the issues.

I agree with the original review, the management here sucks, although there is a major problem with trash and cig butts and I can't figure out another way to handle it if it is a major problem so I agree that steps need to be taken but of course they worded that letter terribly! I think that most american adults actually can in fact "wipe their own rear" so the response above just proves that management may have some issues to address and proves that there are some morons living here!

I lived at AMLI for almost 7 years in bldg. 22 and there was a major issue with college pukes partying and cigarette butts. I am very glad that they are coming down hard on these people that deserve it. There were also 3 evictions in out bldg and also someone spray painted a ---- symbol on the white siding too......very bad bldg, but great mgmt. What can you do??. This was probably one of the very worst bldg's on site, plus the fire alarm was pulled several times.
