Clarinbridge Apartments
< | >
I have lived in three different apartment complexes over the past five years. Clarinbridge, the most expensive of the three, is by far the absolute worst. When I first moved in I was so excited about the roomy floor plan and the in-unit washer and dryer. However, when I did the walk-through on my move in date, the apartment was incredibly dirty. There were dead bugs all over the carpet in every room. There were dead bugs in the sinks throughout and about an inch of dust all over surfaces throughout. I immediately infomed the staff member doing the walk through that i would not move in until it was cleaned to my specifications. NEVER have I seen a dirtier apartment on a move in date. The staff member was nice and said we would change the official move in date for a few days after so Maintenance could clean properly. I thought this would be the extent of my troubles... Shortly after moving in, my AC stopped working. I informed the office and was told it would be fixed immediately. FOUR weeks later... i repeat, FOUR WEEKS LATER.. after several calls to the office and finally threatening to invoke legal action since THEY were in violation of their own lease, it was fixed. This was JULY. It was absolutely horrible. I got the runaround every single time I spoke with Denise (the property manager at the time.) They offered no sort of reimbursement whatsoever and acted like I was a big pain in the rear. I wondered what happened to the nice staff I encountered prior to moving in. A few weeks afterwards, every drain... not one or two... every drain in the apartment was clogged. I tried to fix these by using drano and such, but to no avail. This took a good week to be fixed by maintenance. Then I went to open a cabinet one day and the door literally fell off. This has happened 3 times now with different cabinet doors. The gate to enter the complex has been broken more than half of the time I have lived here. I don't understand why us residents pay so much for inadequate security and service. I have gotten to where I sorely regret moving out of townpark crossing (which is right across the street from clarinbridge.) That was the best complex I have ever lived in. The only reason I moved here was because I needed a three-bedroom apartment and Town Park Crossing does not offer those. One other thing I would like to mention is this: Maintenance came in my apartment while I was not home to do a routine inspection of the water heater and smoke alarms. When I got home, my back door was unlocked. I never use the back door so it remains locked 100% of the time. I freaked out because I am a single white female and I am paranoid about being attacked. I didn't even bother to notify the office though because nothing would have been done about it. Please save yourself the trouble and move somewhere else. I can't wait to leave this place.
