I am a four year rentor who moved out of Clarinbridge Apts recently. They used to be targeted for people in between homes. Now their market is Kennesaw State Students. Other people rent due to the fireplace, layout, and garages. They will raise the rent every year. The grounds are not as nice as it used to be and that is the basic general comment that applies to everything at Clarinbridge. It was really great, but now it is average. Hence, not worth the rents be asked now. It is not as bad as some people say on this site. The pool is not as well maintained as it used to be. The lights in the pool have been out for the last two summers. The gym is nice. The apts are drafty and you will need other ways to heat in the winter. The windows are not sealed and maintenance can't do any better. The comment about the toliets is correct. They don't always flush right due to the low water pressure maintained by the apt complex. So keep a plunger in the apt. The common electric fee goes up $5.00 every year. If you have garages, they will go up $10.00 each every year. Maintenance requests are usually addressed in 24 hrs. People are tresspassing to use the pool or cut thru the grounds. People don't police their dogs so watch where you walk. If it was the way it was when I first moved in, I would have stayed with the higher rent. I found a townhouse in Kennesaw to rent with 500 sq feet more for two hundred dollars less. Also, I left the place clean. The reason you don't get back your security deposit is there is a 35 dollar steaming of carpet fee even if they remove your carpets when you leave. They tell you that when you sign the lease on move in and not before. Also, when you move in, you can sign up for $60.00 cleaning fee on exit. Hence with a $200 dollar security deposit, half is gone on exit. They are going to tag for carpet on exit is what I found.
