Not what it seems...especially the rental clientele...

Honestly, I cannot wait to get out of here. Not the worst place to live, but it's disappointing to see what this place has turned into within two years. My first year here was okay - the renters were young adults/some older couples, with a few children. I swear, as soon as I re-signed my lease, the place went downhill fast.
First of all, I was told the maintenance fee would be going up $35. Okay, annoying but I'll pay it. Then the assistant manager called me and said the fee was actually $44 - I was a little miffed, but fine, I'll pay it. The next day, I received another call from the office saying, "sorry, you were right - the fee is really only $35." I paid my rent for that month, with the extra $35, and then promptly received another memo from the office (with a nasty voicemail and request taped to my door) saying the extra fee was $44 and that until I paid the extra five measly dollars, the management would not accept the following month's rent and I would therefore face the consequences of not paying my rent on time. Rule of good business: don't let it show that your management doesn't have it's ---- together.
Let's move on to the renters. Over the past year, the place has exploded with family renters. I don't have a problem with this - what I do have a problem with is the fact that the kids run all over the place with no parental supervision, playing in the streets and not moving when cars drive through. Some cars fly through the lot extremely fast, and I'm afraid one of these kids are going to get hurt. I've seen paintball pellets on the ground, too. And yes, the other reviews about people not picking up after their dogs are so very true.
The guard does a crappy job of policing the gate - people tailgate in all the time because the guard is too lazy to do his job.
The ONE positive about living here' The gym is awesome, better than the nearby Gold's, and the management did one thing right by hiring the current trainer.

The apartments are pretty but the other residences aren't very good. You have alot of college kids living around you and families with ALOT of children. I don't recommend it.
