Please don't skim over, read!! Everything is true about what I am saying. How can anyone have a yes on this site' Be careful new comers, the apartment complex is changing its' name. The complex has gone way downhill and very ghetto now. Please take my word for it b/c like others, you want to know the reputation and advice from college students prevails throughout the town. Like another comment, yes, mgt says if they do not see it, they cannot report it and there are always kids running around and do not care that they are in the road. I have seen the cops and the fire dept. a little too much for this place to feel safe. GATES ARE ALWAYS BROKEN and I was shut out of the apt complex b/c my keys never work, feel that for a night. First, this is a little lengthy so let me state the main points. (1)You can hear everything if you are not on the third floor. (2)I have terrible smells in my bathroom; it is smells like a sewer and maintenance has come but problem persist along with a bug problems. (3)New fees for amenity cards came about that were not before. (4)Basketball court is always closed for repairs b/c people ruin it. (5)Weight equipment is sometimes left with sweat on the machines. (6)If you call to have things fixed, they might come a while after you called or might not at all. (7)If you leave a message with someone to have someone call you back, forget it, you have to call them back. (8)Referral fees are hard to get. (9)Oh so unhelpful staff. (10) Such a rip off!!! Once you sign they got you right where they want you. (11) You pay a $5 every month on your power bill to use the dumpster, no they dont come get your trash, which is what my old complex charged for. As you can see majority of the reviews on here talk about the management. Well let me tell you they are in fact true. I have lived here at Alta Green for about 2 years now. It is not a good place. I lived in a one bedroom then transferred to a two bedroom with my roommate. When I transferred, they charged me a whopping $350 just to move apts when in turn they were going to get more money in the end. On top of that, when we leased the two bedroom with an agent she gave us a stated rate, we intentionally kept repeating that "are you sure this will not go up b/c we cannot afford it." Of course the answer was no. By the time papers were all filled out, it was too late to go find another place and our rent was increased by $60. We in turn could not do anything about it b/c we can only tell them what was told to us. We cannot make them write it down. Now my roommate is going back home so we decide not to release and turn in our notice. They tell us they do not want us to leave so they offer a deal. The deal was I would not have to pay a deposit on the new apt so all I had to do is move and pay the next rent. They told me this AFTER I signed. You have to pay it b/c they will write it down. On top of that, I had a friend refer me, her boyfriend was with her at the time of her visit, and they wrote down his referral on her guest card. She said that they were extremely nice before she signed and then they would not help her at all. Needless to say, I never got the referral and they told me that they could not do anything about it for auditing purposes. So please do not live here and if you decide to and cannot refrain yourself, refer me and we can split it ($400).

I'm sorry you have had such bad luck with your experience living here. I've had nothing but great experiences despite old management from 2 years ago. I have never had a smelly sewer problem, no bug problems ever, kids aren't running around on my street, I got my referral money within 2 months (faster than the 90 day period they say it normally takes, and the only noise I hear is normal apartment living above me. The gate doesn't seem as broken as much as you say it is, and if it does break, it will get fixed. THIS IS NORMAL LIVING WHEN ONE CHOOSES TO LIVE IN AN APARTMENT. A lot of things in life are about attitude and how you deal with things- it sounds like you are the kind of person that just gets pissed off at everything- just to be pissed off. Like I said, I've had a great experience living here the past 2 years- there have been normal issues I've dealt with, but nothing that is out of the ordinary or impossible to get over quickly.

Well sorry you think I am that way but you have no idea what it has been like to live here. I however, have gone about every situation in the right manner. I have been patient, nice, and forgiving and it seems like no matter what you do, they do not care. Your judgment is in fact false and you have no idea what you are talking about in my perception. (Hence the percentage of the reviews on here, read up). It's the long-term tenants that matter. No, normal living is living in an apartment where you pay good money to live in a nice apartment complex and if you have an issue, it gets fixed no matter what. Let me just update you. The problem in my apartment had persisted before I even wrote the review and guess what..... it still hasn't been fixed. Go figure. It almost seems as if you worked here writing this b/c the staff seems to blame everything on the "old management." If you read the other reviews, maybe you can clear up your judgment skills and know that I am not a person who just likes to get pissed off. Lets be rational please. If I do recall right, ummm.... it only takes 30 days when a friend moves so it looks as if you are her trying to make the apartment complex look way better than it is. No one in their right mind would be ok with the gates being broken as much as they are. If you have lived here for 2 years then you should know exactly what I am talking about. What tenant writes a comment saying that it is normal living to live in a gated community when the gates are always messed up? Any tenant that pays and chooses to live in a gated community EXPECTS THE GATES TO BE WORKING. They would be a little upset with the conditions they are now. Obviously, you are in your on little world.

WOW! are you sure lec1 has lived here, doubt it! I have been here 4 months and ALREADY hate it. Yeah i have a lot of friends that live here but when the prices are awful, gates are ALWAYS broken and yes it is very GHETTO!!! its just not worth it. Lec1 obviously doesnt live here because everything 'dontgetstuck' says IS INDEED TRUE! managment asks like your best friend to sign a lease but as soon as you sign it its over! and things just pop up out of nowhere after you sign it! referrel fee forget it i havent seen mine till this day! its ridiculous about the $5 garbage fee someone forgot to tell me! hmmm. Pool is always closed and if opened is disgusting. gym sucks compared to places like clarinbridge and etc. choose somewhere else! its worth it!
