Century Crest is not a good Apartment complex to move into. When I moved into Century Crest, 2/3 of my Bedroom and Living room was flooded (not over exaggerating) from a leak in the water heater. No matter how many times I told them it needed to be replaced, they just did a cheap "Band-Aid" job. Every night there was a dripping noise coming from that water heater. I noticed there maintenance could only fix little patch up job. God forbid something actually broke and it was fixed correctly. This went on for over 2 month. My apartment smelled like a basement. It did not matter how many Glade Plug-Ins I used. It just smelled of flowers and mold. My dresser and decretive basket was damaged. The leasing office did not offer to replace it. The walls are paper thin. You can hear conversations and your neighbor getting their groove on. Every other week; we received a letter informing us about someone s apartment being broke into or their car being stolen. Don t forget about that incident on the news. You remember. The Meth Lab , FBI and military getting involved.
The bug problem was ridiculous. There were a lot of fruit flies, little bugs and yes, flying roaches. No matter how clean you kept your apartment or how many times the exterminator came to spray, it never worked. I know you re what thinking. "Some people think they keep a clean house but in reality it s a haven for bugs". Honest to God I have an obsessive compulsive problem with things out of place, spills and EXPECIALLY BAD/FOUL SMELLS!!!!!!!!!!!! So, yes, my apartment was very clean. You can't even have a fruit basket in the apartment without these damn flies attacking you and the food. It was so bad I started putting the fruit in the refrigerator and cleaning all the counters with bleach/water every night. But these damn flies and bugs still manages to get in.
This is not even the half of it. I decided not to renew my lease (There was no way on earth I was renewing my lease). I followed the entire rule. You know, "You must give a 60 day notice if you are not renewing your lease". So I did. I gave a 60 day notice. The last month I was slowly moving my stuff out into my new apartment. I had a month left in the apartment. Can you believe they started re-renovating my apartment' And to top it off I was gone for two days and there painters went into my apartment and stole my living room set, painting/drawings, clothes, vacuum, etc. Guess what the leasing office told me' "We are so sorry. We do not understand how this could have happened. Yes we know your move out date is on file. All we can offer you is $400". (You have to love their mild tone of voice)Can you believe these Great Freaking People!!!!!! SO I did what any logical Tenant would do. I WENT OFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!! I chewed them another F...... A... Hole...!!!!
Hope Everything works out well if you decide to move in...Even though there is not one good review out there about this complex and the fact that you decided to ignore both of these reviews. O Yeah this pleace if poooorrrlllyyy insulated.
