Check it out for yourself!

I read the reviews prior to moving to the Century Crest Apartments. I was recommended to check this place out from a friend who had been a resident but left for a bigger home. I've been a resident since September of 2008. I could say that I have spoken with management several times in regards to minor repairs. Sometimes the request are handled quickly sometimes they are not (which is very frustrating). However I will not say that this community is the hood or ghetto and for those who could say that, have to be ignorant. I feel safe in this community and was really surprised that people would speak so negatively about it.
I did have some roaches and centipedes in my home when I moved in, however after the office sent an exterminator to my home I haven't had any major issues. Just an occasional critter that tries to sneak in, but is quickly killed. :) I think that they try to keep things in order, but you cannot please everyone and that is obvious from the reviews. Like I said I'm not saying everything in my stay has been perfect, but in no way would I discourage anyone from moving here. Neither do I regret signing a 18 month lease. Good luck with your decision.

All I can say is that you are an exception. I lived here for more than 2 years and having seen significant deterioration in standards with passage of time. I am out of there for one year now but I know a couple of old neighbors there. None of them have seen any positive change and are in process of moving out of that place.
I like your title ... Check it yourself... don't get a surprise.

The funny thing is, I speak to many of my neighbors that live here and they don't have half the problems that are noted on this site. So I would think that those situations were the exception. We all know that the apartments are not brand new and I would think anyone with sense would look at the apartment before signing a lease like I did. If it is not up to your standard, there is always the CHOICE of going someone else. We are all grown and need to take responsibilty if we sign up for something beneath your standard to save money and then complain. No one here is boasting like this is one of most elite places to live, but you get more than what you pay for in my opionion. I'm just sorry you didn't have a good experience, but that's you. I'm speaking for me!
