I love living at the Villas. Yes, there are downsides to it but there are ups as well. Here are a few:

POSITIVE: The grounds are kept very clean, rarely will you see trash in the lots or grass areas. Every Tuesday the landscapers come out - you will never have to dodge overgrown greenery to get to your apartment. The maintenance team is AMAZING - very prompt and extremely friendly. The apartments are well sized with well laid out kitchens. I personally love the garden tubs and built in desk. I love my neighbors! I live in a well mixed building with families, college students and other working professionals such as myself. The parking lots are very well lit and I never have to 'fight' for a spot. Overall, I do feel safe in this community.

NEGATIVE: The office staff really are horrible. The 2 times I've had to go to the office (package pick up and a maintenance order) the staff were extraordinarily rude and condescending. The fitness facility is a joke. The equipment is sub-par at best, but there is a new gym up the hill if you really need a decent workout. Everything looks pretty inside the apartment, but make sure you are detailed when you do your move in inspection - the white laminate stuff coverings of my cabinets and drawers in the kitchen had all popped off before I moved in but I didn't discover it until day 2 or 3 when I started to put my belongings away.

THINGS TO CONSIDER: Most of the one bdrm & 2bd w/garage units have the/a bedroom against the outside breezeway wall. If you are a light sleeper or are on a lower floor, you will have some noise issue. There is only 1 trash can (which is very well maintained)in the entire complex near the front gate, there is also no recycling program here. People drive entirely too fast in the front gate area before the first 'speed mountain', so walking or driving be very cautious of this area. The community IS located near a college and I-75, so some traffic and 'college kid' noise and should be expected. It's an apartment, take it as you will. I've been an apartment dweller for more than 12 years and this one is definitely one of the better ones I've lived in recently.

It seems almost every complaint has something in common. Horrible office staff but great maintenance team. But the office people need to work on their attitudes.
