Of drunk college kids. Fire alarms go at random, half the campus passes through every week meeting their friends. There is often a line at the gate extending into the street. So they just leave the gates open for anyone to walk in. The staff are liars and cannot get their act together. They will rent you apartments smelling of tobacco and tell you tough luck we've done all we can. A lot of the building lights are out often like the ones atop the garages. Noisy climate units outside your bedroom rattle all the time and they tell you its normal. Ya if im drunk all the time i might not care so they are right about something

I would agree about the drunk kid thing, but you have to remember its an apartment complex - it's going to happen! just like their friends coming over to visit, i think they are entitled to have visitors like everyone else-regardless of how annoying it might be. the gates are not just 'left' open, if you called the office to find out about it you'd know they get stuck open after lightning strikes too closely, it's a safety function so we aren't trapped inside. something tells me you'd cry about that if it were the case. tobacco smells - again, it's an apartment! there is drywall and carpet, porous surfaces! they absorb smell and someone DID live there before you, it's part of living in an apartment! i wonder why you would accuse an entire staff of being liars, you didn't give any concrete examples to back up your claim. i don't care much for most of them myself, but i don't think saying they are all liars would be a fair statement. as far as your lights being out over the garages - have you called those in yet? i had one out over a garage and it was replaced the day after i called it in. climate units ARE noisy - even a homeowner would tell you that! again, IT'S AN APARTMENT! 'luxury' or not, they use builder grade materials for the most part and that includes the climate units. if you think this is so horrible them move over to Poplar Place or Greenhouse - you think you have it so bad now with the college kids and their friends and the smells or sounds of your apartment - trust me, this is HEAVEN in comparison to anything on that side of GB Pkwy. it COULD be worse.
