All I will say is to make sure you see the exact apartment you are moving into before you make a decision.

If possible check into The Gardens right off of 185.

My particular apartment was old, had old carpet, old flooring, and was very dirty when I moved in. The carpet is cut in lots of places, I presume from the past renter having a pet' I don't know. Not a good feel though.

The management is pretty respectable when they're in the office-- otherwise you will be instructed to speak with the manager when she is in if you have a problem. Maintenance is great and quick for the most part, though.

I can hear my neighbors banging around all the time into the wee hours of the morning... The walls are so thin that I've gotten a lease violation for watching television.

The grounds are kept up nice but the pond could be much cleaner.

Parking towards the front of the complex is a nightmare but it eases up in the back. If you plan on renting a 3 bedroom apartment beware... some tenants have to park in front of the main office and walk down to their apartment if they get home after the rush hour of people returning home from work.

There is a laundry unit here, a great smaller pool and a decent workout room. There are also connections for your washer and dryer.

To sum it up, the people who work here are great but the buildings themselves could use a bit of work. As long as you see the exact unit you're moving in to and approve, you'll be fine.

The Gardens Apartments are located on Patillo Road off of I-85, Not 185...and yes, I agree with you on the better amenities at the Gardens as opposed to Sun Ridge. They really cut a lot of corners at Sun Ridge.
