I have only lived at this complex for a couple of months. It is utterly ridiculous to get a maintenance issue addressed. And, you can rest assured that if they do FINALLY take care of the problem, it won't be done properly. I was told that the apartment was "move-in" ready when I took possession of the apartment. It couldn't have been much farther from the truth. They were still painting sections of the walls. But, they assured me that the rent I had already had to pay wouldn't be refunded, because they deem it okay to be moving furniture into the place even while the painters are still working. I don't think ANYTHING was cleaned in the apartment. I went through two fo those Magic Erasers (highly recommended) on just the master bathtub alone. Now THAT is just sad! The current issue is a leak around the fireplace. It was reported initially on the day the movers were moving my furniture into the apartment. Well, a month later, when we had our first BIG storm (2 days worth of rain) you'd have thought there was a waterfall in my living room. That's what it looked like on the wall. The entire fireplace was wet, the surrounding carpet was wet..the wall was a disaster. I called and reported it AGAIN (it obviously wasn't repaired in the initial request). They did actually fix the leak rather propmptly. But, 2 months later...I'm still battling with them to repair the damaged wall. I have been calling, at least once per week, since Octob er 16th, 2006. It is now November 7, 2006. I've been told various stories as to why this has yet to be repaired. My sister even called on my behalf because I feel like I'm getting nothing but a run-around. She spoke with the property manager, who lied to her and told her she'd had NEVER spoken to me about this matter (it had been 2 weeks...perhaps she forgot with all of the other problems they must have)...then, she hung up on my sister when she was asked when the repairs could be expected to happen. My sister was hung up on a total of three times. Then, the property manager called me. Wouldn't listen to hardly anything I had to say. She just kept talking over me..asking me what I'd like to have done about the problem and did I want to just move out. I can't tell you how many times I was asked that question. I just kept saying "I only want the problem fixed properly. That's all I've asked for. I've been patient. I've followed up. I've done everything I'm supposed to do." I finally just hung up on her as she obviously wasn't calling to successfully solve the situation...but, just to be rude and unprofessional. I have contacted the company that supposedly manages the complex. I have yet to hear from them either. I contacted the Consumer Action Center with Clark Howard to ask for their advice. I've been advised to go to the GA Legal Services and obtain further advice as to how to proceed with a company that obviously has no concerns in making necessary repairs to their property. I haven't been unreasonable ONCE in any of the requests I have made...nor in the request to have my living room wall repaired from the leak. I'd say that 2 months is far more than sufficient amount of time to repair a single damaged wall. I can't afford another move (I spent money just 2.5 months ago for movers)....and I'm certain that this unprofessional staff would expect me to pay another mover out of my own pocket..and I'm sure they'd expect me to buy out my current lease. I despise being lied to...and I feel like that's about all I've gotten when they were selling their "property" when they wanted my money to move in. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7

Hey: I belive every word you have said. The manager talks down to everyone. She doesn't supervise the maintenance crew and this is what you should continue to expect the remainder of your lease. I have had the same problem and thankfully my lease is up at the end of the year. The manager doesn;t care. She doesn;t live on the property and never walks around to inspect the property. The lawn care people came on Monday and blew and the leaves and pine straw up into the flower bed. It looks one more mess. In some areas they skipped and they are covered with leaves. I wish you had seen all of the negative stuff before you moved here but the management is totally incompetent. Good luck and wait out your ten month prison sentence. (SMILE)
