A continuation of Horrible absolutely terrible is another classic example of neighbors saying hello at Summitt Sweetwater.

Gwinnett County police are investigating the mysterious death of a Lawrenceville man who was found dead of a gunshot wound after crashing his car Tuesday night.

An officer responding to reports of a car crashing into a telephone pole in Lawrenceville found the driver dead inside, accompanied by his young son, who survived the accident.

Witnesses told police the man drove out of an apartment complex on Sweetwater Road shortly before 9 p.m. with a second man chasing him on foot, firing at him.

The victim, 31-year-old Anthony Tremmell of Norcross, was shot in the back of the head. He hit a pole outside another apartment complex before succumbing to his injuries.

Tremmell's 10-year-old son suffered minor injuries when the car's airbag deployed, said Gwinnett Police Cpl. Ray Dunlap. No arrests were made.
