I've had nothing but drama here. Had it not been for the 5 minute commute to work I'd have left a long time ago. Grounds are dirty. Garbage in the breezeways. Calls to Office generally are picked up by the answering service. They find ways to push off costs to you. Now they are MANDATING Valet Waste service at an additional $30/mth on top of the $4 you pay for the compactor. So that's $34/mth for TRASH PICKUP. Where does it end'

I lived in Camden Sweetwater for 2 years. If it were not for the location (Sweetwater Road, 2 dead bodies found in the past year) this would be a great place to call home! The staff was always friendly, the maintenance staff was very prompt and the property grounds were ALWAYS immaculate! The rent was reasonable and my apartment was very nice. I never felt unsafe on the property b/c I had decent neighbors but I would not want to live anywhere else on Sweetwater Road. The only issue I had with the water bill was that it was much higher than I have ever paid for water anywhere else I have lived. Most importantly though, the property grounds were always beautiful and well kept. I moved out in July of 2006 so the staff may have changed but I was very pleased with the staff at the time! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Obviously a lot has changed since 2006. I have recently vacated Camden Sweetwater "Summit Sweetwater" after living here for 2 years myself. I agree that the apartment, in and of itself, is nice looking but if you want to have any say so as to how your money is spent then Camden Sweetwater is not the place to live. I chose not to renew my lease based on a $100 MONTH increase as well as the pricey fees for utilities. Come on now a MANDATORY $30 a MONTH fee for VALET TRASH SERVICE which only will pick up CERTAIN items of trash and only picks up trash 5 days a week. Which means you STILL have to take your own trash to the compactor some days. In addition, there is still the $4 fee for the use of the trash compactor. That's $34 a MONTH for TRASH. You don't even pay that much for trash living in a HOUSE. And the water bill is another monstrosity. I have also experienced constant incidences of trash in the breezeway and noisy neighbors. It all depends on what's important to you. For me, having a say in how I spend my money matters. Seems like they do the old bait and switch on you once your lease is signed and you have no recourse but to bend over and take it. So I have to agree with the initial review... RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!!
