I'd like to apply for the property management staff position that is in charge of reviewing the comments on apartmentratings.com on a daily basis, and posting anonymous replies/fake reviews. Here is a writing sample:
What a fantastic place to live! I can't believe that there isn't a waiting list to move in! The apartment units are so spacious, I had to buy 13 couches just to make the living room look normal! Maintenance does a terrific job keeping the grounds clean and the buildings nice! Sometimes I can't tell if I'm living in an apartment complex or a lavish day spa! These other people that write negative comments about this complex must be crazy! I just won't believe that there are any problems here! It's like Christmas, but every day!
Here's the thing. People are much more motivated to write something negative than they are to contribute positive comments. It's just the way it works. Instead of pretending to be a resident, though, and posting inane ravings about what a fabulous place Carrington Place is to live or sarcastic replies to actual resident reviews, have the professional pride to state who you are (i.e. Davis Development employees) and make your case. The fake postings do little to help your cause, rather, they make the real postings where something positive was written look suspiciously similar to the fake reviews.
The truth' No, it's not that bad place to live. The area is generally quiet and removed from most of the hassle that characterizes Gwinnett County, and the development itself is relative new. The units are worth taking a look at if you are considering the area. But all in all, it's an apartment, and you get everything that you'd expect in an apartment. This includes both the opportunity to live in a reasonably nice place, and the possibility of living with neighbors above you that hold clogging classes during the day and operate a bowling alley at night. Comes with the territory. There's no reason to expect some sort of utopian community here, but it's better than many of complexes in the immediate area in terms of resident quality, for the most part.
Let me know about the job, though. My salary requirements are fairly generous.

This is a funny review. Very honest and down to earth. I live here and I agree. It's not a perfect place, but its not the worst. Employees are most definitely writing fake postings about the apartments. It's not a utopia!
