watch your water bill!

We've been here for a few months and we do like it here. Ana Castillo is really nice
and helpful. The apts are really spacious and the bathrooms and balconies are really large. You don't feel like you are in a apt. It's spacious but cozy. I also like the diversity of the people. Thereare all types of ethnics which I think is good and healthy.
we didhave an issue with the water bill. Our first bill was 100.00 and that is ridiculous. We don't undestand why it is so high. we used to live in a 2600 sq foot house and our bill was only 50.00 a month and we used alot of water. we move to a smaller place and the bill is twice more than what we paid before and we do watch how we use the water.
we also had a charge of 50.00 on our bill for a utility charge. we don't know why.The water company says that we did not have the electric svc in our name at the time we moved in but they were wrong. The svc was put in our name the day we signed the lease and the office should have known that. You had to give the leasing office your electric account number before you got the key. Anyway, they did adjust the 50.00 off our account after we had to show proof that the electric bill was in our name the day we signed the lease. If we did not pay close attention to our bill, we would have paid the 50.00 dollars.
I think the water meters should be checked to make sure we are not paying charges from the previous tenants who was in this apt because 100.00 for a month is a little ridiculous. They can probably charge us anything being that it is a privately owned water company.
So my message is, watch every little charge on your water bill and make sure it is accurate.
Also, the pool needs to be cleaned more often and i noticed too many teenagers are coming in the pool and they don't even live here. The office is right there. I think they should monitor the people who are using the pool. It's not fair for other people to use the pool and they don't live here. We are paying for the pool usage somewhere in our rent and it should be for the people who live here not outsiders.
They is also a hole in the fence in the back of the building that kids use for a short cut to get to another apt complex. If does't make since to be in a gated community if people have access to get on the property. A car was just broken into and there car was damaged and property stolen. That whole in the fence needs to be closed.
The maintenance guys are really nice but we had an incident where, when they come to fix something, they just walk right in the apt with a key . That happened to us twice.
They may have knocked and we didn't here them but that doesn't give you a right to walk in. Where is the privacy and the respect. You can't just walk in the apt.We could be butt naked!
overall it's a comfortable place to live!!
