Me and my fiancee moved into the wondeful Herrington Woods Apt. complex because no other place would take us because we were first time renters, and honestly the rent was cheap. We have hated the decision since the first day we moved in. The type of people that live in the complex are some of the worst people in the area. Everytime we come home we have the fear that all of our things could be stolen. Within 2 months of us moving in the deadbolt on the door broke and we were locked out of the apartment for 6 hours while we waited for the maint. man. Then 2 months later the washer we were paying the complex for broke and it took them 2 months for them to get someone out to our apartment to fix it. We left numerous messages, talked to numerous people at the front office, yet they refused to fix the washer we were PAYING them for.

They are the only apartment complex im aware of that actually comes into the apartment on a monthly basis, sometimes multiple times a month, to do "check ups". They only give you 1 days notice normally too, which doesnt give enough time for me to hide my valuables from the low lifes that will be coming through my apartment. I dont want people constantly coming into my place with the type of people that live in this complex. Its awful.

The complex is dirty, there are broken down cars all over the parking lot. People are outside all hours of the night letting their kids go crazy. Just a week or so ago, for instance, there were a pack of hoodlums running around who thought it was fun to throw glass bottles around the entire parking lot. So for the last few weeks all of the spaces near my building have been covered in glass, awful.

The apartments themselves are disgusting, they get really hot in the summer, and really cold in the winter. Its super expensive to keep the apartment the temperature you want it. There are bugs and roaches everywhere you turn. The carpet is disgusting, and the pipes for the crappy bathtub get clogged every few months.

I hate this friggin place and im so glad im moving out in a few days and im heading to a normal complex with normal people. If youre a low class low income person youll fit right in at Herrington Woods, if youre a normal hard working person STAY AWAY. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.
