Great place to have your car stolen!

I've been here about about 19 months, and at first I was pretty happy. I had no major issues other than neighbors who might be a little noisy from time to time, but that's to be expected in any apartment.

The fun started when my boyfriend's car got stolen right out of the lot. We were fortunate that it was found a few days later, but then it got broken into again. Come to find out that this is a common problem in the complex- people will break into cars to swipe change, cigarettes, CDs, or just take the whole car for a joyride and dump it somewhere. A police officer told me that there were over 20 incidents of car theft and break-ins in the past 18 months.

The front office denies all of this, of course, and instead sent us all a letter saying that we need to make sure that dog poop is picked up around our building. If anyone from management even bothered to walk around every so often, they'd soon find out that EVERYONE (at least, in my building) who has a dog does not clean up after it. Most of the time dogs are not walked with leashes and I've almost squashed a few as they tried to run under my car. My neighbors have also started to make it a habit of leaving garbage all over the place, my downstairs neighbor left a pile of boxes and broken furniture outside the door for over three weeks before I finally had to call and report it. My upstairs neighbors keep me pretty entertained, at least; they insist on having loud sex around 5 a.m. all the time. (By the way, dude, she's totally faking it. No one would scream that loudly at your 20 seconds of squeaking the bed around.)

And the hits just keep coming! I rented a garage a few months ago and the day I got it they didn't give me a key for the doorknob and it was filled with trash and furniture and used cat litter from the last person who had it. I had to file a complaint with the manager before they took me seriously and clenaed it out and changed the lock. My boyfriend broke off the key in the lock to my apartment while I was at work one day and he called maintenance to fix it and get a new key. This was great, except for the fact that my boyfriend is NOT ON THE LEASE so they basically gave a key to my apartment to a total stranger without my knowledge or consent.

There are way too many apartments in the Lawrenceville area to have to put up with the gross negligence and the trashy neighbors here. I can't wait to leave this cesspool.
