I have written on here before and I did not think that it would get any worse, but it did. When I wrote the first time my boyfriend and I still lived here, but since then we have broken our lease. That is how bad it got. The kids are very rowdy and rude. The office staff is incompetent. The maintainance staff is lazy. The gate is still always broken. PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE and on top of that our walls started to peel which is not really uncommon but we had to put in four work orders for someone to come and try to patch it. That was the last straw. Here are the problems that we encountered on top of the ones that I already wrote about.
-When we re-signed our lease it was upped to $760 a month ($40 more than we were paying before). That's not the bad part. We were on the website and saw that the same apartment we were renting was going for $610 and I became livid. When we went to the office to find out why our rent was raised so much when the apartments were practically on sale we were told that the new price was their move in special and there was nothing that they could do.
-We spoke with management and informed them that we were leaving and we would be out by the 31st. This was the 28th of January so we had to pay 1 and 1/2 worht of rent, the water bill that we would have had to pay in february, and the last water bill since according to them they were billed 6 weeks before we recevied them. So the water bill that we received in the mail was $38.42 then our last water bill was for $48.57. We then asked why it was more that the one we recived in the mail and she said that is what the computer calculated, so that is what we had to pay.
-When we found out how much our settlement was we went to get a money order. When we returned the office assistant was closing up. My boyfriend approached her and asked her how long before she came back and she said 15 minutes. So we sat and sat and waited for about 1 hour and 1/2. Within that time I would say about 5 other people came in and left afer waiting so long, but we stayed because we had to get it over with.
-That same day we scheduled our walk through. We specifically told them that we wanted to be there for the walk through. I then called the next day around 2pm to ask when we were going to do the walk through and I was informed that it was already done.
