Excellent choice, reasonable rent, nice apartment

Probably the best place to rent in Lawrenceville. I looked at over a dozen locations while hunting for an apartment here, and ended up going with Tree Creek. For my one-bedroom unit, It was the least expensive of any of the places I looked at, and nicest overall.

The office staff were extremely helpful and more than competent, and they even talked about the reviews Tree Creek had gotten on this and other apartment sites.

There's tons of parking, I've never had a problem getting a spot right in front of my apartment. One really nice thing, they don't charge you for the laundry key card or gate access card. Other places I looked at wanted $10 for the laundry card and up to $50 for the gate card!

The community is generally quiet, about the only thing you ever hear are the neighborhood kids playing outside. The apartments are really nice, surprisingly big, and well appointed with modern appliances. The bathroom even has an awesome tub, it's really deep and wide enough for two people. All of the windows come with miniblinds already installed, but I think it would be wise for them to preinstall hardware for mounting drapes, so you don't have to worry about damaging the walls.

The only thing I can gripe about is the credit application process. It took three days to get approved, because they are very thorough. They spoke with my three previous landlords, and the hold-up was getting one of them on the phone. While it was a little annoying, I can appreciate their reasons for going through such a rigorous screening process, it's probably how they get away with offering lower rent.

Also, since the apartment has natural gas, a gas range in the kitchen would really set the place apart from the pack. Especially for people like me, who really love to cook. But, that being said, the electric range was certainly adequate; name-brand, and fairly modern. I'd also prefer they not bother with the external storage, and just make the living room / dining area bigger.

When you move, don't bother bringing your bike. It is impossible to bike around here, between the incredibly steep hills and traffic just off of 316 and 120, it's pretty much useless to try to get around. You really need a car, or just go around on foot.
