Price around a thousand dollars keeps the riff raff out who would rather pay $750 and live with low class illegal aliens with their white ladder/kidnap vans filled with bales of marijuana and methamphetamine.

The cops come out about once a month but that's not a big deal, just brings flavor. Homeland Security showed up one morning looking for Pablo Escobar or something like that. I used to feel insecure about that but then realized I had rented houses in quiet subdivisions for way too long.

The grounds are kept clean, the gym is new with plenty of free weights, treadmills, bikes and an on site trainer. The pool is clean and kept up but the hot tub may or may not work at any given time. I am too fat and self-conscious to go anyway.

Parking is fine but not numbered/reserved. Not a big deal unless you come home after midnight which I do too often, and then you have to walk maybe 50 feet instead of 15 feet. Well lighted, clean parking lot with no ladder/kidnap vans.

Apartments are fairly new with sprinklers inside, storage unit outside your apartment and dishwashers, disposal units and washer/dryers inside. You take your trash to a central dumpster and pick up mail at a central mailbox. Apparently there is also a laundromat somewhere on the grounds.

One person in the office is always surly, as if you crossed her in a former life; I am also surly so I can appreciate that. I saw her June booking photo for battery and figured I had better not mess with her. Maybe she's the enforcer in the front office that keeps those maintenance men cleaning the parking lot every morning.

The assistant manager is pleasant and always helpful. The friendly maintenance guys come out quick and work efficiently.

Hwy 316 is about one minute away and the entrance onto it is exciting every morning -- that morning rush. The hospital is about 2 minutes away and the courthouse (where I mostly work) about 5 minutes away. Lawrenceville's first Starbucks opened about 3 months ago, there's a big movie theater, Home Depot, Target, Walmart, Publix, Kroger, Golds Gym and every corporate fast-food, family restaurant and sports bar you can think of. Discover Mills Mall about 15-20 minutes away and the fantastic Mall of Georgia about 25 minutes away if you like shopping and more of the same corporate eateries, movies and packaged fun.

Big cop presence in Lawrenceville which is good if you never drive fast, always wear a seatbelt, and don't hold or carry. You can confidently say "no" when they ask to search your car since local lawyers generally bring the wood to court and bad cops are mostly weeded out (but there are new recruits every day).

Not many if any crazy teenagers wearing hoodies and lurking in the stairwells (like in the Gwinnett Place or Norcross apartment areas). If you were to live in those areas and you see a pack of them I would suggest you just start shooting, a la Bernard Goetz.

In sum, management does a good job with their property. I tend to handle human problems myself.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Talking in general terms is down right ignorant. I guess I will not move there. Once you hear my accent you will run for the mountains!!!! Once you see me or hear me you would definitely say "there goes the neighborhood!" I'm glad I got to see your comment.
