I moved in a "renovated" apartment. New appliances - cosmetically good - but did I get a wake up AFTER I moved in. The AC control did not work. There is a leak somewhere because I have mildew in the walls of my closet. I have continuosly talked to the Manager and they do NOTHING. They expect their payment each month, but don't fulfil their obligation to fix and maintain the property. The exterior of the complex is OK, but the inside of units - Suck. I am sending pictures to Gwinnett health Dept and Clark Howard. Something has to be done.

I have the same problem s and worse right after I moved here in January the sprinkler system in my bedroom went off and flooded my entire apartment damaged my personal computer, electrical appliance that was in my room, my dressers the bottom fell out , a lot of my clothes and my daughters clothes was damaged the renters insurance did not pay anything their excuse was the picture I sent in did not show the damage. OF course I left that insurance (Bader) the apt. complex took up the lining underthe carpet and never replaced it, the big bugs came because of a constant leaking I did not know about from the air conditioner system that sounds like a train. The maintenance crew has been out several times but have not repaired it. Someone began leaving their trash under the stair next to our door causing more bugs. The upstairs neighbors are making my smoke alarm go off every weekend and there is this awful fumes that are coming down from the ceiling vents every weekend that is affecting me and my daughters health. I am taking her for a physical and sueing these -------s and I will report them to the health departments because these apartments needs to be condemed.

I am experiencing the same thing there is a leak in my ceiling and there is mildew in the kitchen cabinet, I hadn't thought about sending pictures to the health department, Thank you for posting that suggestion
