I'm fed up

Years at this apartment: 2001-01-01 - 2003-01-01
I have been in this complex for 1 1/2 years now. I had hoped this would be a permanent residence for me because of the convenience where I live; however!!! The first 6 months were great. Then Mr. Boom box moved in over me. Extremely loud music, so loud it can be heard 2 floors down penetrating. Numerous complaints to the office staff have yielded maybe a few calls to them to turn it down. Once at 3:00 a.m. it was so loud I could hear it in my bedroom with a window fan on and headphones to my TV...I did call courtesy patrol who came out about 1 1/2 hours later. The next day mysteriously a vent on my brand new car was missing from the front spoiler!
As for maintenance, I have had no problems with maintenance, they do come when called. Once my alarms went off and would not quit, after an hour of ear shattering noise, they disconnected it. My air has had to be "re-charged" no less than 6 times and leaks water down the wall, at one point so bad the neighbors under me had to call (I was at work and didn't realize it).
Grounds - What a joke. They put in nice flowers, pine straw islands and have a nice trail around a lake! Obstacle course is more like it.......between the tree limbs from dead trees and geese poop!
One morning I was drinking coffee. It was raining and the wind blowing really hard. I heard crack!!! then crack again...a large dead tree was litery falling apart. After I called the removed that tree, but left several other dead trees around it which are still there. I'm waiting for them to fall into my apartment!
Pool: They advertise a BEAUTIFUL CRYSTAL CLEAN POOL..........I have an aquarium, so I know what bacterial bloom is. It appears every time that I have gone to the pool, it was so nasty I would not get in it. Not just from trash in the pool, but the murky water. I was told they shock the pool 1 day a week. They have more people than a public pool, should this not be done daily? Not the total shock, but at least ph tests, etc., etc.
Lease: Now, they get you here. When your lease is up as an incentive if you resign your lease two months before it is up, they will give you a month free. That's cool, especially since mine is up in December. Oh yeah, did I mention that if you move you have to give a 60 day notice or pay two months rent, plus an extra months rent, plus forfeit your security deposit? What complex is going to let you hold an apartment for two months??? I guess you give your notice and take a chance on finding an apartment after that. Such a rip-off. In checking in surrounding apartments, they are the highest in the area. I hope this management is not indicitive of other apartment management companies.
Overall rating: If you have no self-esteem, like garbage in the breezway, do not care about a pool or grounds or noise. Live for the excitement of car break-ins, muggings, attempted kidnapping and child stalkers....By all mean move there
