Five years ago this was really a nice apartment complex renting for about $750. I would have recommended it to anyone. It was quiet and management kept on top of things. It wasn?t until 2 years ago that this place started to go downhill.

At first the requirements to rent here were stringent. Later on, it seemed that all requirements were gone. Chicken suits and clowns welcomed anyone and everyone in. The trouble started with a furnished apartment in our building. It was a teenage commune with kids vomiting all over the stairwell and breezeways and peeing off of the balcony. I'd hate to think of what they did inside if that's what they did outside. You couldn?t tell who lived there and who didn?t with all the drug traffic in and out of the place. Most of the people who have lived there over the years have been evicted.

Another matter; the "security officers". All you can do is leave a message at night, and you might as well go back to bed and forget it. They sure will. They work regular jobs during the day. And, since it?s private property, the Gwinnett County police can?t help even if you see someone trying all the doors in one building. They have to break in first.

But do expect to see a lot of Gwinnett County police here, and the Sherriff?s department too. They make numerous arrests here every month. Sure doesn?t make much sense to install gates to keep bad people out when the bad people already live here. We even made the news with that kidnapping in broad daylight January 4. The news covered up the name of the complex but yes, that was us.

One positive note would be the maintenance staff here. Kudos to these guys, at least someone is doing their job. The few times I?ve needed maintenance help they?ve been here in a reasonable amount of time.

To the person who has friends visit who feel harassed - you have actually seen management' They actually did something about your friends coming here and causing trouble at all hours' Wow, that must have been some trouble your friends were causing, because that's more than I've ever seen of them. You're the type of scumbags that have turned this place into a crime-ridden heap. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! GET LOST!

Overall, this is a troubled apartment complex. I would only blame poor management for about half the trouble - they had to fill apartments and had to lower their standards.

I would say look elsewhere if you're looking for a safe apartment environment. Especially if you have kids. For what they charge for rent here multiplied by the number of units, I don't think armed security guards would be out of the question. It could be a selling point, really, in the long run.
