Only a few months into my lease and I HATE IT!!!

If you want a place to call home, DO NOT MOVE HERE! Everything sucks. After getting the key to my new apartment, I anxiously went to the door ready to start a new chapter of my life. That is not what happened. Approaching the door I noticed a giant dent, like the cops had burst into it and damaged it. I walk in, and everything looks okay. But the dents are throughout the apartment, on the walls, the refridgerator. No Biggie and I shrug it off. The next few days we start seeing bugs, which was expected. Maintenence probably left the doors open when they painted, etc. We have NOT stopped seeing bugs, even though weekly we get the apartment sprayed! I am uncomfortable in my own house. So if you like living with bugs, go for it.
Also, the crime in the area is ridiculous. Since I have lived there, a numerous number of break-ins and robberies have occured. In the complex and the surronding area. If you like hearing Salsa music every night, and police sirens as your trying to sleep. On Saturday mornings, waking up to screaming children with no supervision, You'll love the place.

Unfortunately, you can't blame the apartment community for the area it was built in. Lilburn was once a well respected, enjoyable, thriving community. Over the past few years, it has become a melting pot of nationalities and that is just the world we live in. If you don't wish to live around these types of nationalities and hear their music, etc, I would recommend moving to some place where the the majority of the population isn't hispanic. Regarding the community itself, have you stressed your concerns to the office? I am sure that they don't want you to be unsatisfied or feel unsafe.
