Run, don?t walk to another complex!!

I was dazzled by the apartment complex when I first visited. The complex seemed quite and the staff seemed more than eager to please. I was so thrilled that I came back and signed the lease.
However, I was in for a rude awakening.
The Staff
At first, they are the typical "girls next door". I loved them. They were eager to please, help and do everything that they could to make my stay pleasant --- until I signed the lease!
It all went downhill from there. By the end of the lease term, I was excited to be leaving. However, they started slapping fees on me left and right. You must know, I am an extremely neat, careful, and quite tenent. I left my apartment in tip top shape, but they took my deposit away anyway because they said I left a scratch on the counter. The only thing that I could recall was a chip on the cheap countertop. It was there when I first rented the apartment, but it?s just not a battle worth fighting. It?s your word against theirs. Go ahead and let them have the deposit. If you do decide to sign into this torment, make sure that you note every spot in the apartment -- better yet -- take a video camera in before you move your stuff in!
The Tenants
Fairly decent, but going downhill fast. I dealt with loud music, undefined "animal" noises in the middle of the night and other usual apartment noise.
The Maintenence
Fair. They came several times, but I think the leasing staff forgot to relay information to the maintenence staff twice because maintenence never showed up.
If you decide not to heed my advice, take note & tape everything that you do -- better yet hire an attorney to review your documents before you attach your signature to anything.
Whatever you do, you will not get your deposit back. It must be a policy for them to take all deposits. I have never heard of anyone renting from Crestmark and getting their deposit back.
To Sum Up:
I?ve rented a much better apartment & dealt with much nicer staff.
