My experience with Crestmark started off very pleasant, as with most apartments. The service was good, things were being handled promptly, and everything seemed to be fine. My issues have been recent with the change of office staff. Back in April 2006 a new office staff was brought in supposedly because the old office staff was not handling the finances correctly. Well this office staff appeared to be handling things, and I was told that this would be the last change of office staff and that they were here to stay. The manager was very helpful with an issue that I had with my account and things were taken care of quickly. This is one of the reasons why I resigned my lease and even referred someone to move in. However things started going down hill very quickly. Things were not being handled as quickly and there was an issue with the bugs. Around June, they sent out a notice and requested that tenants remove everything from their kitchen cabinets because they were going to spray. Imagine my surprise when I came home the next day and nothing looked like it had been done. When I called the office staff about this, I was told that my apartment was sprayed and that I could put everything back up. After that it seemed like every night, I was killing something. It was horrible, when I mentioned this to the office staff they said they would have someone come back out, and so once again, I took everything out of my kitchen for them to spray again. Once again no one sprayed the next day. In fact, I had to call the contactor myself to see when he was coming out. It was not until that Saturday that he came to spray. Another issue I had is with the referral process. Since I had referred someone to move in, I wanted to see when I could apply the referral amount to my rent. I was told by the assistant manager that September would be the month that I would apply the amount to my rent. Once again I was surprised, because when I called to verify this I was told that no paper work was put in and that I could not get my referral until more research was done. I was disappointed and at this point upset. The office staff was gone, and as of September a new office staff had been brought in and no one had any idea as to what was going on. It appears from my standpoint that instead of trying to help tenants understand what is going on and work with us, the new office staff seems to blame things on the tenants and it seems as no one wants to take responsibility for the things that happen. We are just bystanders of what is going on with the management company who feels the need to change the office staff so often and we get caught in the middle of all of these issues when it??s not our fault. This is just a part of the many issues that I have had recently. I could fill up pages of information were the service and management is just not right. Please don??t let this happen to you! You will be please at first only to be let down in the end.
