I moved here 2006 and my lease will be up soon (this year 2007). I like the set up but I don't plan to renew. I probably will look for a townhome. They have them out here but you're paying $1200 to $1600. It's not worth it. At least not out here.
The pros: plenty of parking, maintenance normally make repairs right away, you get to choose cable or satellite, utilities are pretty reasonable, they keep the property looking nice. The staff is nice but one of the lady's always get amnesia when you tell her stuff. The head manager is very nice and she will work with you when you have problems.
Cons: They keep most college students towards the back which means plenty of noise, there's been 2 shootings (yes, I was here and awake when it happened; yes stay away from the back), fights, if you live on the 1st or 2nd floor you are going to have to put up with hard walkers, cursing, loud music, whatever. Not a good place to raise a family. Keep your little girls away from the college guys. Make sure you know where your kids are or who they are around.
When I first came here I thought it was going to be nice because it was only a 5yr old complex (built cheap) but the rent is high. Try to get in on a special. But they are going up if I renew like other places but I want to go somewhere that I can appreciate paying the money. From what I know incidents are reported but nothing happens. The courtesy officers are Douglas county police but you can't get them to come out unless somebody's dying. I'm all for having fun but RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBORS!(damn) Too many of "us" it aint good but some of "us" would like to have a nice place to live. (y'all feel me!)
