I have lived in what is now called The Oaks at Stonecrest for 2 years. It has been thru about three or four different management companies since my stay. The current management company has implemented some renovations to improve the property, but in this case it is not the inside that counts. The neighbor HOOD seems to get worse as time goes on. They are renting to any and everyone and not screening the riff raff. In the past 2 months many apartments have been broken into, including the managers, by no other then your friendly neighbors. They know what groups are doing the break ins, however they still reside here to steal another day. My sister was living here as well and was robbed by her neighbors, in less then an hour, and of course no one knew anything and the police did nothing. The vast number of children and teenagers think the parking lot is there playground and refuse to move out of the way when someone is driving by. I here gunshots on a regular basis and even decided to call 911, and was asked if I looked outside (to get my head blown off) to see what was going on. However, I have never had any problems out of the office staff, they seem very friendly and respond to maintinence issues quickly. If only they would do a better job choosing who they rent to, and get rid of the trash that presently reside.
