I have lived at Walden Brook for a year and recently renewed my lease. In the last year, the community has changed. By that, I mean there is a different element of people moving in. I am noticing more teenagers and adults "hanging out" in the parking lot. I hear the radio of cars as they are moving through the complex. My neighbor above me is a single mom and has a toddler she allows to run in the house. My concern is that no one is accepting accountability and responsibility.

For instance, our gate is constantly being damaged by people trying to get in to "visit" people. Although there are cameras to catch license plates, it doesn't stop someone from damaging the gate and the bar, just to get in the complex.

This may be difficult for some people to understand, but the people living in the community are responsible. For instance, I tell people visiting me to let me know if the call box is not working and I will come to the gate and let you in. I have visited my neighbor on many occassions to inform her when the noise is too much for me to bear. I question children who are riding bikes throughout the parking lot in the way of cars.

Walden Brook has provided courtesy officers, 24 hour maintenance, they ensure the garbage is picked up consistently and they keep the grounds up. If we as residents continue to act as if it is the Property Manager's responsibility to check personalities who pay rent in the complex we are wrong. We run down our communities by bringing an attitude of "this is not mine so, I don't care". Then we wonder why an apartment community under 4 years old beins to look like other communities, like on Wesley Chapel. Learn to be accountable and after you have done your best, then you can make a negative comment. I am clear that the crimes which have been going on in the community to include domestic violence, is being done by people known by residents or residents.

The best comment I've read so far! It's your community, treat it as such, be accountable for yourself and your children! Pick up debris when you see, not just if it is yours. Form a neighboorhood watch, create and curfew and submit it to management.
