I have been living here for 3 years and will not be renewing my lease again. I only stayed this long because i couldn't afford to go through the trouble of finding another apt. I have never been a victim of any crimes god forbid, oh wait yes i have. Never put a rental payment in the drop box, people steal from those things and i had to learn the hard way, it was a lady and a man and when i remember the lady's name because the bank told us i will post it. Oh and someone tried to steal my tire but took the lugnuts(why?). Oh, several breakins a couple of people robbed at gunpoint, you know the usual. Loud neighbors. Moved into a different apartment and it is my first experience here with a roach infestation, i can deal with 1 or 2 every blue moon but not 1 everyday. and for a tenate that has paid rent on time and never given any problems, the least they could have done was give me new carpet instead of new carpet patches and old stains that were unsuccesfully removed(am i being 2 picky). A bunch of little maitenance prblems i could complain about but i never made a big deal about them, i guess it comes with most places.....except for the places that make sure everything is just right and exceptional for their tenants. Gate is forever broken. Kid got shot in a neighboring apartment complex in which people come in and out through a broken fence.

On the flip side, it is convenient to fine retailers such as Walmart(with their outstanding customer service and all) and payless, taco bell, you know all the neccessites that a predominately african american community needs. But if you have to walk be careful because you might be the next victim of a hit and run, they dont really like sidewalks around here. If you catch the bus consider locations closer to the train, buses run very slow and sparsley in these areas but they are doing a little better now.

Don't care 2 much for management, except for lisa, she's cool. Had an issue where they put a notice on my door saying i didn't pay my rent threatining eviction after only a couple days, but i didn't get heated 'cause i learned early on that you have to pay any and everything in the office with a physical person and get everything copied and signed, and keep all reciepts, so that was cleared without issue.

The gym sucked when i first moved in used to get flooded and smelled really bad, now the tvs are gone and so are the security cameras.

So i am going to stop here 'cause i realize i am trashing the place. It is not the hood, its pretty on the outside, decent on the inside, a lot cleaner than majority of the neighboring communties. No longer worth the market rate but don't pass up the specials. Good for a first apartment or the borderline of your budget. If it is quality and security you want you probably won't find it in Lithonia period. Quality is probably a midrise in atlanta with very controlled access and a concierge service, but this may do until then.
