I've been living here for the past 9 months and love the apt. It's spacious, the price is great and I'm fortunate enough to have quiet neighbors, plus I'm on the top floor so that helps. Now the downside...the maintenance requests take forever to complete. My kitchen light was broken and they never came to repair it. First I was told that they had to order parts, then I waited a couple of weeks and called back only to be told they were still waiting. I finally asked it I could go to home depot, buy the parts, fix it myself and be reimbursed' I was told that it was a management decision. In the end I fixed it myself but still never heard anything back. For all I know they think it's still broken. When my toilet was broken it also took about 2 weeks to be reparied. (those parts were out too) Why they don't just go to home depot or lowes or just stock parts is beyond me. The turnover of the staff is ever changing. The security gates have only worked about 1 week in the 9 months that I've been here and I promise I'm not over exagerrating. I haven't had the problem others have mentioned about construction noise or crime, although you will hear the movers in the summer. They're just keeping the grounds maintained, you'd hear the same thing if you lived in a house with a neighbor that mowed their lawn in the morning. The one bedrooms have very small hot water tanks so if you enjoy long hot showers you're in for a rude awakening, or should I say COLD awakening. I seldom use the fitness center (I've got 3 flights of stairs to keep me healthy) or the pool and business center so I can't comment on that. The water bill is pre-set and a bit high in my opinion, $30 per month for a 1 bedroom and it's not based on your use. They have a pre-set amount that is included with your rent payment. You're limited to their cable provider (Direct Path) and required agent for renters insurance (Bader). There was only a $10 increase in rent if I renewed and they were going to throw in a free carpet cleaning. This leads me to believe they must be pretty desperate to keep folks. Perhaps if they completed maintenance requests in a timely manner they would keep more tennants. All in all I'm very pleased with the apt but very dis-pleased with the staff plus the commute is brutal. If I worked closer I'd be tempted to stay because I'm looking at paying at least $200 more for much smaller square footage, but a much shorter commute. I hope this review was helpful to potential renters.
