There is nothing positive about this apartment. I have lived many apartments, cheap and expensive, in the past years, and this is by far the worst apartment of all.
If you have to choose this apartment, do yourself a favor and avoid the 1st floor at all cost. This apartment is so poorly built that you can hear all the noise from upstairs. I mean the noise level is way beyond tolerable range especially at night when you go to bed. You will have hard time falling a sleep if your neighbor walks around the apartment at night, and you will literally wake up every time your neighbor makes a move. And I am a deep sleeper! Of course noise level in the 2nd floor is not any better than the 1st floor, but at least you won't have to deal with heart attack causing sudden banging sound from the ceiling every night. I have lived in cheap apartments before and I have never experienced this level of noise problem. Speaking of noise problems, I overheard a tenant complaining several times about the neighbor making unnecessary noise in the middle of the night and early in the morning, and the management kept telling this tenant that "they cannot do anything because the subject is not in their rule book." I am not sure if or not this is "normal" for all the apartment management, but my understanding is that the disturbing behavior must be addressed by the management even though it is not in the rule book. They painted recently so it looks decent outside, but do not be misled by it. The building quality of this apartment is absolutely horrendous. As some previous reviewers pointed out, the dog drippings are everywhere. I am thinking about getting a boots to just walk from my car to my apartment because of this and it seems like the management does not care about it. They started utilizing the gate 3 months ago and since then the bar gate got broken 23 times almost every week. As far as I know, the apartment gate got broken 23 times a year by accidents. But frequency of the "accidents" in this apartment complex is beyond just accidents. Be ware that the bugs are everywhere in the apartment. I have to catch 23 bugs in the apartments everyday. They should have better pest control. The worst of all is the management. Before you sign the contract they will tell you that this apartment has everything that you expect from a decent apartment including how the management cares about the tenants. As soon as you move, you start noticing all the awful problems about the apartment, and no matter how much you complain about them, the management will only pretend to take care of the issue. Simply, they do not care about the tenants. They only care about the "contract" you signed. They lie to get you sign the contract! I am thinking about breaking the contract because numerous problems that the management won't address. Even though, I would have to pay 2 months rent as a penalty, I would gladly pay it to get out of this miserable place. I wonder if there is a higher management other than those who work in the leasing office because I am going to write a letter of complaint soon.

I have lived here for 2 years and can't believe that this resident feels this strongly negative about the apartments. I do live upstairs, so I can't speak of the noise level downstairs firsthand, but I don't have noisy floor, and have asked my neighbors downstairs if I was too loud before, only to be told that they can't hear me or my large dog running around. I would hope that they would let me know, especially when I have asked specifically about this. I did at one point have a neighbor across the hall from me who was inclined to have guests over later in the evening and they got louder than I liked a couple of times, but, after reporting this to the office once, the problem was gone. They have never taken too long to resolve any issue that I have reported. Pest control comes out every other week (I believe?), but will come to your apartment if you have any issues to take care of. I have never had a problem, but if I did, I would certainly call to report it before complaining to others--or even trying to catch them bugs myself--yuck! The gates are in working order, often in spite of the residents who live here. The arms are broken regularly by careless residents or people too lazy to call their friends to get them to let them in. This angers me, too--but not at the apartments, at the other residents who don't take pride in where they live! If you live here, why wouldn't you want everything to work correctly?? You can't blame the management for that problem any more than you can blame them for the rain. As far as the breaking lease stuff...I still live here and wouldn't have signed a lease if I was planning to move out before the terms was up, but the 60 day notice is in the lease you sign, and I don't know about you, but I read things before I sign them. Sorry, for the rambling, but I was just browsing reviews and was bothered by the negativity directed at a place I am happpy with and proud to call home. No apartment community is perfect, but I have truly enjoyed my time here and plan to stay for a while.
