One reason I loved my apartment was because I went through ProMove and got a great rate on a 2-bedroom. However, when we were asked if we would like to renew our rent, it went up almost $200. The main reasons we moved out was because it was far from where I needed to live, and the rent went up so much.
The apartment was just what we needed. Fairly spacious, fairly clean. They definitely need to update the kitchens. They're functional, but outdated and cheap. Very old appliances. (Maybe they should have updated the apartments and not the leasing center...) Carpets were pretty clean. Everyone is right, there is a really bad bug problem in the summer. However, you can call to request your apartment to get sprayed every week. Which I did. It helped a bit, but you have to call every week, or in come the ---- roaches and milipedes. And there's a LOT of them.
My unit had plenty of parking. Never once was an issue. However, it looks like it's not the same for all the units. The pools were very nice. One of the staff members was awesome. Every time I had an issue I would always talk with her. Unfortunately, she left and I had to deal with a certain lady who talked to me like I was a pain. Funny how she was never nice to me until I told her I was not renewing the lease. "Oh noo! Why not' We would LOVE for you to stay!" Uh huh...
I never really thought safety was an issue. Never any break-ins while I was there. My neighbors were pretty sketchy, though, and made me feel uncomfortable at times. I won't go into detail. Like every place, there's some friendly neighbors, and some unfriendly. Oh well.
I was in a middle-floor unit, and my utilities were really cheap, which was great. I LOVED that my unit came with a washer/dryer for free.
Maintenance always fixed things within a day, and we had a fair amount of little things go wrong. But every time they responded well. I did have one instance where there was a water leak from the unit above me, and the maintenance guy did not clean up the water and kept claiming there was none (my counter and stove were completely covered). And a couple of other times my oven would not work and the guy would tell me it's supposed to do that (click about 30 times before it ignites' I don't think so.) After a few efforts, a different, much nicer guy finally fixed it. If you call enough and sound concerned enough, they will take care of the problems.
If you're short on money, and the location is right, and you don't need a luxurious apartment, then yes I would recommend this complex. Don't expect a brilliant staff, though.

The staff is much better, except one lady who I think is the assistant manager or something. I never catch her name, but I just wait to work with someone else if I need something. The bugs go with the landscape, a major creek and woods make for a bug haven, particularly the mosquitoes this year!!! I am a bug spray addict, now! Maintenance is fine, nothing stupendous, but certainly not bad. Parking is good unless there's a party, but it's only occasionally. Safety is really up to you, you have to be alert and proactive anywhere. You can always expect a big jump in lease renewal, particularly if you came in with a big discount (like through pro-move, to account for your "free" washer/dryer). It's just the way the apartment industry works. They are counting on you not wanting to move so they can recoup some of those discounts. (I have a friend who works at a nearby apartment.) Also, you know you can negotiate, right? You are not required to take the first offer, but most people don't realize that for some reason. ALWAYS NEGOTIATE!!! They don't really want to have a vacant unit to clean, repair, and sit empty until an interested party comes along. It costs more money to flip the unit than it would to give you a nominal 3% rent increase.
