I am currently living at this complex (which changed it's name to Los Colinas), and my lease will be up in April 2005. I Can't Wait!!! This has been the most horrible living situation that I have had ever. I have been through three management teams, and three sets of neighbors upstairs. Each neighbor has blasted music to all hours, every day. I have complained many, many, many times, however management is largely unresponsive. Although they say they send letters, nothing changes. I can't tell you how nerve wrecking it is to hear music booming through your ceiling at 2am when you have to go to work.
Also, the area is very "thug". There is graffiti in the parking lot and on the buildings. Constant traffic in and out with loud music coming from the cars. There is known gang activity, and there have been drug dealers in my building.
Speaking of the buiding, let's talk about the roaches. Pest control is not happening, no matter what they tell you. Also, last winter there was something scurrying in the walls -- mouse or squirrel' You be the judge.
It is so awful that I have not had people over but once in the 1 1/2 years I've lived there. I warn people everywhere I go about my experiences -- especially if they are looking for a place to live.
Take my advice -- stay away from Las COlinas (formerly Hampton Village). In fact, stay off Franklin Road if you can. The entire neighborhood is very ghetto and thug.
